In December 2024, the states of Minnesota and New Jersey sued Glock in excess of the design with the 9-millimeter semiautomatic pistol, saying that the business had failed to make improvements to circumvent the easy conversion on the pistol into an unlawful plus much more hazardous machine gun.[324]
